VINTAGE TRAVELLING TRUNK

This is a nice vintage travelling trunk with wooden bands. The trunk is made from ply and has a hessian covering. It has three beech bands around it's girth for strength and protection, the bands have metal end caps. There are leather faced handles to both ends, it has two brass coloured locks and catches, both working but a bit stiff. There is a fabric stay to support the lid when open and a pull out section for extra storage. Approx. 83cm long x 47cm wide x 31cm deep.
KASHAN RUG

A traditional Kashan rug with central medallion on a cream field with navy, red and ivory borders. The city of Kashan and its surrounding area is encircled by desert and therefore does not have a good source of local materials; originally Merino wool was imported from Manchester (UK) to create some of Iran's finest carpets. Approximately 6ft (183cm) x 4ft 6" (136cm)

Oliver Bat-Wing Typewriter No. 15. It has a striking bat-wing shape. In 1928, the Oliver Typewriter Company was sold to investors who formed the British Oliver Typewriter Company in Croydon, England. It needs a good clean and servicing. c1928-1947
FRENCH BONE SNUFF BOX

Very unusual French horse shoe shape bone snuff box. Inside the top lid there is an horse and rider jumping over a fence. It has a good firm clasp C19th century. Approximately 3¾" (9.5 cm) long x 3¼" (8 cm) wide.

RARE ANTIQUE STEAMER TRUNK BY INNOVATION

Very rare Antique Steamer Trunk By Innovation, 5th Avenue, New York. The height of 1930s chic. This is a beautiful trunk and in its original condition. It has six drawers, hangers for clothes and a shoe storage space at the bottom. It is in excellent conditioning apart from the lock which has no key, measures approximately 43" (110 cm) high x 23½" (60 cm) wide and deep. Innovation was one of the best known trade marks in America.

Georgian period maritime large single telescope, made of brass and mahogany wood, signed Frith, London, an instrument maker working in London between 1820 to 1862, after which the company became Peter Frith & Co. The first draw is engraved ‘Frith London’, so it can be dated to pre 1862. (ceased trading in 1860). It has a number of dents in the brass but it is in working order. Closed 20½" (52cm) Open 40½" (103 cm) long
3 x ARNI CARICATURES BOTTLE STOPPERS

The Italian Anri company made these bottle stoppers from 1912 until the mid 1960's. The earliest were hand carved by people who lived in the Groeden Mountain area and were made to resemble actual people they knew. Over time the stoppers lost their "individuality" and became more like caricatures.

Vintage brass National Cash Register by The National Cash Register Co. Dayton, Ohio, USA. Serial No. 183124 dates this as 1899.

It is in working order but the bottom set of keys are very stiff and could probably do with a service. Some of the key numbers appear to have been replaced.
