GEORGIAN OAK BUREAU - SOLD
This is a rare and distinctive Georgian oak bureau.  C1720 It has two short drawers (with a false drawer between the two) and 3 x long graduating drawers with brass swan-neck handles. It stands on bracket feet. (The interior of the bottom drawer has been replaced but the original carcass is still in tact.) The front falls opens to reveal a very charming fitted interior with an arrangement of 6 x pigeon hole compartments over 6 x curved drawers and a central cupboard.  There are two secret compartments, a small drawer over one of the pigeon holes and one of the side panels next to the door pulls out.  Below the door is a spacious concealed well with a covering slide.  The locks on the door and on the front fall are in working order with keys.

GEORGIAN DECEPTIVE DRAM GLASS - SOLD
Georgian deceptive dram glass c1810. It has a slice cut deceptive bowl above blade, cushion and baluster knops. Conical foot with polished pontil. This deceptive bowl reduces the volume consumed therefore you could two nightcaps and one for the road! By the early 19th century short measures were commonplace until the weights and measures acts were fully evolved and enforced.

The ceramic inkwell is handpainted with a swallow (which in Japan represents good luck, fidelity in marriage) and a peony (which represents good fortune, bravery and honour). Burleigh Ware Art Deco 'Garden' Jug with Flower Handle c1935 - hand painted with a garden scene on a yellow background with steps and a rockery, flowers (tulips, hollyhocks and delphiniums in blue and orange). The handle consists of a cluster of flowers in blue with yellow centres. No chips, cracks or restoration and showing little sign of wear. VICTORIAN 8 DAY FRENCH COMTOISE WALL CLOCK - SOLD
Victorian 8 day striking French Comtoise wall clock in very good condition and in working order. It strikes on the hour, has the original weights and sits on a brass wall bracket. The hood was created through the repoussé technique, where brass sheets are hand hammered or pressed into moulds to create the decorative details.

Six men in varying stages of intoxication surround a low, cloth-covered dinner-table (not bare as was customary for dessert), on which are a big punch-bowl, bottle, and glasses.
